Hailed as Cologne’s best kept secret, it is now time for Tim Engelhardt to spread his wings.
The last few years saw him working on his music intensively and managing to create a unique and personal trademark that makes his tracks stand out.
Coming from a pianist background, it is obvious that harmonies and an expanded melodic structure are standards in his repertoire and the key element to his works.
Tim stems from a region in Germany people call the Westerwald, which is clearly a huge part of his inspiration with its local landscapes that have also contributed to the works of Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda.
As he has been working closely with Robert Babicz right from start, it is needless to say that he also enjoyed a solid education in regard to production and mixing.
It all kicked off for him in 2014, when he was able to release tracks on labels such as Traum Schallplatten or Parquet Recordings and remix Robert Babicz on his Babiczstyle imprint.
Joining the cologne based agency WIR Booking, he has a found a home for himself and feels comfortable with the musicians around him, furthermore this cooperation has led to live shows in and outside Cologne, received with much praise.
In the following years, Tim plans to expand his tour schedule and to spread his vision of playing live, always with character and a connection to the crowd that you rarely find nowadays.
At just 17, he released his debut EP „Everything Is All You Have“ on Steve Bug’s hugely influential Poker Flat imprint which stirred quite a buzz and introduced Tim to a broader audience. With the much-praised follow up „Enigmatism“ and continuous support by key figures of the scene such as Pete Tong, Robert Babicz and Steve Bug, it seems logical that this marks the start of an intriguing musical journey.
