The ‘Durch Die Nacht’ co-founder has come into his own in recent years, providing his own personal twist on sound with his productions that can frequently be found nodding towards euphoric and melancholic atmospheres on labels such as Dantze or Katermukke, where his upcoming EP "Dance Again" will be released. Simultaneously his versatile DJ sets have become somewhat of a topic, he has the raw ability to intricately diverse between genres allowing different vibes to conversate with each other concluding in a wholesome sound that he is fully invested in. If you want to target just one of the pivotal moments of his musical journey thus far, you would most likely start with his ‘Morgens in Odonien’ EP, the change in momentum for Dirk as he landed this essential EP. Since the release in 2015 he has only accelerated in an upwards motion, showcasing his sound at the likes of Katzensprung Festival and Danish underground hub, ‘Ved Siden Af’ or Zürichs very own "HIVE". Since its launch in 2018 ‘Durch Die Nacht’ has proudly settled itself firmly amongst the circuit in Cologne and beyond, leading the way for international, high quality bookings such as Magda, Ejeca, Britta Arnold & more. An ever evolving mixed bag with Sid Eno, which is notably, if not, THE, underlying factor of why his fan base continues to grow, it is hard not to establish a fond connection with this character. It is his attention to detail that remains consistent, whether this is sampling sounds from his extensive world travels, or constructing a mood to mirror a pure reflection of a certain time or place; listening to his music is like a painting or a movie in the form of sound and you can “never leave until the lights come on”.
