Ever since his early years, Alex Kennon has always been interested in music. As a result, he started studying classical guitar when he was 6 and thanks to his father, was introduced to the music world through funk, punk rock and electric rock. Aged 15 Alex started working in local radio, where he began to lay the base of his own taste in the musical field. In the beginning he became closer to house music and deep-tech sounds, and afterwards became influenced by acid and dub styles and from artists such as Soul Capsule, Point G, Omar S and Mr G.Alex soon joined several clubs as a DJ in Italy before visiting Ibiza, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, London at Egg London, Katerblau in Berlin, Barcelona, Lisbon, and various other European countries. He even performed in Singapore at the infamous Zouk, before appearing at some of Thailand, Russia and Romania’s best clubs including Kristal Glam, Studio Martin and Blackout. His style is difficult to define: whilst he is still inspired by different genres and trends; he doesn’t adapt his style to a particular outline. Alex’s music follows above all what his own feelings suggest, and because of that reason is always progressing. In 2012 his name began to resonate on the island of Ibiza and he made his debut appearance at one of the most important clubs, Ushuaia. During 2014 Alex joined the opening party of Privilege in front nine thousand people and formed part of the famous party “Insane” at Pacha by John Digweed and MK. The following year, Alex joined Kevin Saunderson, Todd Terry and Kenny Dope at Miami Music Week for the annual Pacha party, and also took to Mamaia (Romania) to headline Kudos Beach Festival. Furthermore, 2015 was the year that Alex established himself as a key Ibiza resident, with more than 15 gigs across the whole season for Insane at Pacha and appearances in most of the Europeans capitals including Berlin, London, Lisbon, Bucharest, Barcelona and Rome.
2016 is set to start strong after renowned producer Pirupa included Kennon’s track ‘Blue Water’ in his Essential Mix, whilst an upcoming collaboration between the pair is set to release on Nic Fanciulli’s label Saved Records. Alex will also join Maceo Plex at Pacha several times during the Ibiza season for his new Mosaic party, before summer appearances at festivals such as Spellground, Pacha Amsterdam and JEMF, and at numerous events including Nic Fanciulli’s ‘We Are The Night’ Sonar OFF week party.
