Claus Casper
With more than two decades in the Cologne underground circuit under their belts and a mutual love for all things house music, it was only natural that Claus Casper & Jean Philips would eventually pair up in the studio.Between them, the duo boast an enviable back catalogue, with releases for esteemed labels such as Spinnin Deep, Jeudi and Black Jukebox. In 2014, the production partnership became official and soon after they signed to Andre Crom’s OFF Recordings and were remixed by Smash TV, Piemont, Dry & Bolinger and Superlover, while also somehow finding time to make an appearance on Mother Recordings’ “Mother Knows Best” Compilation Vol. 1 & 2. Unsurprisingly, their fanbase quickly grew and you can now find the guys’ music on labels such as Toolroom, Future Disco, Hive Audio, Mother, Indiana Tones, Definition:Music, Dikso, Nitegrooves, Moonbootique, OH! Records, No Brainer Records and Exploited Records, as well as the latter’s infamous vinyl offshoot, Black Jukebox.Heavily supported by the likes of Claptone (who features almost every single track from the duo in his esteemed Clapcast mix series), Phonique (who twice asked for a remix).
