At 17 Mizbee AKA.Fay Barton became involved in Newcastle's Drum & Bass scene, mc-ing at a local club night 'curves' over Dark skies (resident) and Temper D (Renegade Hardware,Offkey recordings) and through that she became resident vocalist at 'The History of Dance' and vocaling over the sounds of 'Aphrodite', 'Nicky Blackmarket', '808 State' and 'Total Science'.
She went on to achieve the position of residency at Newcastle's largest Drum & Bass night 'Turbulence' improvising live vocals over the likes of 'Fabio & Grooverider', 'Ed Rush', 'Optical' and 'Twisted Individual'.
Fast forward to 2013 where her collaboration with Michael Jansons (Lower East) has resulted in 'Addiction' (Lower East) due out in April on Vinyl and then for digital download April 15th.Remix comes from the infamous MK, Detroit dub master Mark 'MK' Kinchen. MK retains the deep, gritty and brooding elements of the original, adding his own trademark organ riffs.This has been supported by the likes of Pete Tong (Radio 1) and Wideboys (Kiss FM.) Tony Humphries, wAFF, Flashmob, Sandy Rivera, Tom Budden, Solomun, Jozif, Cajmere,& Climber. Expect more collaborations with Mr. Jansons with more melodic vibes in the pipeline very soon ....'Were only just getting warmed up .....'
